Rated 4 out of 5 by Franko Whats with passive
I thought, hey awesome, new 4k tech, should be the best thing on the market, then why put the lowest form of current 3d tech into it. next to the cardboard red and blue glasses anyways. other than the passive 3d this tv is the best led picture on the market. if not for the passive this would be a 5 star. oh, and the built on speakers should be optional. i have a better home theatre

by DVAD3R Amazing TV!
I just upgraded from the awesome XBR-65HX950 & let me tell you, I didn't think a picture could look better than that. WOW! I have to say I'm blown away by the up scaling from 1080p to 4K! I'm a gamer as well, the graphics, motion look even better on my Xbox 360 & PS3! The 3D is the best I have seen next to an Imax theater experience & no more charging the glasses. :) I also have a nice surround setup as well & the built in speakers give it a run for its money! To sum it up... I know the cost is a little high, but i know it was worth it & this is the future of high def. 4k is here to stay or at least in my living room it is. lol This TV is staying in my house for a long time! :D

Excellent picture quality, doesn't get any better. Easiest set up, sound quality is good but I think it could be better. It's a beautiful television, cannot go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chevy Best Picture EVER
I was very hesitant to pay so much for a TV, but I fell in love with the picture the first time I saw it. Initially, I was dead set on purchasing the 55" 4K TV, having viewed it at a friend's house for over two weeks, but after one viewing of the 65", I knew I had to spend the extra money, and I am more than glad I did. Again, it is a lot of money, but it is the best picture I have ever experienced, and that is for the regular HD content you and I currently view everyday on Cable/Satellite. I must say I am not in love with the speaker system on the television, but then I never have like the sound from any television, so I purchased the Sony 4k Home Theater BDV-7100W for sound, and again I am greatly impressed.
If I had any suggestions for Sony I would forget about the speakers on the TV, reduce the overall cost, and assume people will get their own sound system. Anyway, you can't go wrong with either the 55" or 65", and I KNOW how tough it is to spend this kind of money on a TV, but I have to say, I feel I got more than my money's worth.

The over all picture quality is good. My biggest complaints are when playing video games (PS4) there is a lot of lag. Also after just 4 months of having this TV my HDMI 1 port went out. Called Sony to get it repaired and the part is on back order,so they want to replace the TV with a 32 inch 1080p TV. Only after I said no because my TV is 65 inches and 4K,they said they would replace it with the same TV but it is going to be refurbished. Plus Sony wants to hold my accountable if the delivery company does not send back the TV, I will have to pay it my self. After already paying 7000.00 for the TV. This is stupid that i am having to jump through so many hoops to just get the TV fixed. But I guess its my fault because I should have just stuck with Samsung. So as of today I am done with Sony. I am going to take my 3 PS3's my PS4, and my 2 PS Vitas and go trade it all in for an XBOX One. I always thought Sony was better than this

I've had this TV for about 2 weeks now and it is hands down the best TV picture I have ever viewed anywhere, even better than the in store demo. I also purchased the FMP-X1 4K media player and had to wait a week for the tech to come to my home and install the needed hardware and firmware upgrade to make it all work. It was worth the wait, the pure 4K content looks stunning. The 3D is the best I've ever seen, full 1080P for each eye makes watching 3D Blu-Ray's a joy. Some don't like the passive glasses but I feel they have less eye strain and are feather light, you forget you're wearing them. You can make this as bright as any LCD or plasma I've seen. I am very pleased with this purchase, while it's not as huge a leap as going from 480p to 1080i was, it is almost like seeing HD for the first time again, watching this has prompted me to start watching through all my Blu-Ray collection again, simply breathtaking! Great Job Sony!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LeeSoFL Looks Great @1080i/p. Now bring on the 4K content
I've been playing with the new 65" XBR for a few days, and have gotten the picture settings into a range I like. Sony default settings are VERY vibrant. Tuned down the color level, as well as picture and brightness, since I like an image that is deeper into the blacks. My eye tends to favor the "warm 1" base to work from.
The sound is impressive, although I was concerned about the volume at max, it didn't seem like it went the distance to what I would use for high volume listening. I corrected this issue by increasing the "volume offset" in the sound settings. Essentially it's like turning the preamp level up, so there is more range on the speaker volume control.
Live sports (hockey, basketball, car racing) even at 1080i cable signal, was terrific. The hockey looked so good, the players seemed to jump off the screen, which might be the reason I had teeth missing the next morning.

Rated 1 out of 5 Dead Pixel on a 4K TV - what a waste...
Bought a 4K XBR65X900A TV 1.5 months ago, and it now has a red dead pixel. BestBuy won't fix or replace, Sony won't fix or replace it either. It has only been 6 weeks.. come on... doesn't seem fair. Spent some time on the phone with Sony today and, according to Sony, dead pixels are "NORMAL"!!! and there is nothing they can do about it.
This is the first expensive TV in over 10 years that has a dead pixel, never had this issue with other manufacturers.
I feel ripped off by Sony!
