Seriously awful

Pros: None

Cons: Expensive, bad sound quality

Wow, this product was a massive disappointment. I wanted it to do something simple, just let me do tutorial video recordings. Literally, me standing in front of a screen, not moving, but using the lapel mic to ensure good quality audio recording. I figured for over $100 this system would provide it. It's unusable. The sound is horrible, muffled and static-y. I can't imagine how poor the sound quality would be if I were actually moving around, because standing three feet from the camera, motionless, the sound quality is worse than if I use the internal mic in the camera! What a waste of money.

Big dissapointment

Pros: Fair price

Cons: Unusable - too much static

Based on Sony's reputation, I reckoned this would be a great product, and I bought 2 of these. Both the same: it is unusable due to the amount of static/noise, even at very short distances. An expensive mistake.

Worst Sony Product Ever

Pros: None

Cons: The whole Unit

This unit is terrible, bought it to do some video work and it crackles and pops. Do not waist your money. Always thought sony was made a good product, guess my opinion has changed. Waisted $200.00.

50% Static

Have just used a few times- and will admit that there may be something I don't know- but so far I have used the mic on every channel at distances of only 10 to 20 feet and there is terrible static. Sitting completely still was not too bad- but I expected a lot more.

Very Bad Static

Pros: Looks nice, discreet

Cons: Everything

If you like wasting 6hrs of your day to shoot a 2 min video - this mic might be for you! (3 hrs, 20 takes, 3 hrs to cut and trim at home all static spots). Tried everything, FM interference off, dryer sheet to clothes, switched channels, new batteries always...booo Sony!
