I am the proud owner of 6 of these bad boys and let me say that they made me watch ALL of my movies all over again! I also have a Sony 7.1 Receiver as well as a matching B.R Player and all I can say is .......WOW.

I never associated Sony producing good speakers, I replaced my aging JBLs with these speakers. These are really good speakers, hundreds of great reviews out on the Net.

When I was a kid, I'd drop a weeks' pay for a pair of speakers inferior to these. Now the old speakers are dying, I'm replacing them all. The F6000s are so much better than the expensive Phase-Tech towers they replace. However, I also bought the SS-B3000 bookshelf speakers and the SS-F5000 towers. Both of these have the larger 8 inch woofer, and they are much better balanced speakers. For a large room I'd advise ponying up for the SS-F7000s. I'm sure my 100 watt/channel receiver would have been adequate. I placed the 6000s in a 20 x 18 room with a 12 floor ceiling. They don't do the job. Need to use an equalizer to increase the bass on the 6.5 inch woofers. Wish I'd bought the 7000's with the 8 inch woofers. They are all great value.

I bought these and after hearing them, these were plenty of speaker for me. Music sounds good as well as just watching TV. They have plenty of thump. I also had a pair of sony tower speakers years ago and these matched the sound to those and then some.

Found these on sale with free shipping after I ran out of money for another set of speakers I was planning on getting. Read hundreds of reviews on how good these speakers are, especially for the money so I ordered them without ever listening to them which amazes me, though I haven't regretted buying them. These literally brought my Home Theater and Big screen to life. Sony doesn't appear to spend anything on advertising these for some reason, but I've listened to other "name brand" speakers costing several times what these cost and the SS-F6000's don't take a back seat to them. A 4-way tower speaker for this price that sounds well balanced and clear is incredible. I use mine with a sub woofer, as the bass from the speakers alone is quite acceptable, but not earth shattering. Finding these on sale just adds to the value. They simply sound much better than you would ever expect, and are well worth the money.

Great speakers for a great price

I just bought these speakers after reading reviews and considering several brands, including Polk, Yamaha and BIC America. I finally decided on these, and I am so glad I did. They have great sound. I am driving them with an 80 watt amp and they generate a big full sound with the richness one would expect in much more expensive speakers. Congratulations on a great product.
