Durable, well-designed lens cap.

Pros: works in all conditions, perfect fit, built to last

Cons: pinch tabs should have more grip

I have many of these caps in several sizes and all have worked very well over the two years I've had them. I've never had a cap break or stop working for any reason. I abuse my gear in some tough weather conditions at high altitudes and these caps have been trouble free. I would like to see Sony make the center-pinch tabs with more grip to make them easier to operate with dry skin, but this is a very minor issue.

Not very practical

Pros: Looks nice, works

Cons: Clumsy

These lens caps work alright, but so does a similar design 30-year-old Minolta lens cap. In all this time, has nobody come up with a better design to 1) get a better grip on those darned pinchers 2) clip the lens cap onto a little protrusion under the lens or have it hang from it? You're better off using a cheap haze filter and replacing it once in a while.

Lens Cap Doen't Stay On

Pros: Fits

Cons: After about a year it doesn't stay on.

The plastic springs on this lens cap have pooped out after about a year of use. I've had to order a new one. Sony needs to do better.
