Pros:
Portability, size, easy to set-up
Cons:
battery, filter options - no noise reducing or voice over EQ
The price is fair and creates quality mp3 files. These files can be imported into various mp3 editing software, like garage band, to reduce background nose and enhance the quality of the sound.
I am a keynote speaker and bought this recorder a few years ago to record new ideas, thoughts and programs. It's great to be able to have a device that allows you to stay in the moment other than taking notes.
The MAJOR draw back of this device is the battery. Though it can be turned off by sliding the hold button it still drains the battery. If you keep the battery in the device while not operating you can guarantee it will be drained the next time you turn it on. there isn't any way around this other than storing it without the battery or simply replacing the battery. I opt in for taking the battery out and put up with having to reprogram it everytime I turn it back on.
To replace it with fresh AAA every time I use it, is not only expensive but harmful to the environment. Batteries are terrible for the environment and you will need to look for battery recycling facilities in your area to prevent poisoning our water. You can purchase rechargeable batteries to save and cut down on battery disposal but this is a mediocre solution. Mediocre for the rechargeable batteries life is cut in half and will need to be replaced - due to the constant on feature, even while in the off position. Other than this - the device is great at its price point and easily found at stores like target.

This would be a great purchase if you could get the microphone that they tell you you need in the user guide. I can find out when it will be available in the US. You can find it overseas but you can't order it for some crazy reason. I bought this for a specific use and I can use it until I get the right microphone. That sucks!!!!!!!

Pros:
Light, portable, high quality recording, easy to use
Cons:
No carrying case
I bought this recorder for dictating on the go, and it performs very well, whether I use the built-in mic or my fancy headset mic. I use it with voice recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking), and the recordings made with this little recorder have very good recognition accuracy. It's also very reliable and easy to use.

Pros:
Looks good
Cons:
Recordings warbles at times
This is the coolest lil' red recorder I've ever come across! Unfortunately, the recordings warble badly, as thought I'm underwater. This doesn't happen often, but at least once There seems to be no way to prevent it, nor fix it when it happens.

Pros:
Compact design, and managable folders for organization.
Cons:
As the amount of recordings increase it takes time to start up.
Good recorder for me. I use it to record classes and sermons at church. i sit at the back and achieve a good recording using the built in microphone. Only drawback is when the speaker steps away from the pulpit, his voice fades but i still pick it up. I record in the best quality mode, SP. Overall a good recorder.

This is a decent recorder which does an excellent job picking up conversations across the room. I use it to record meetings every two weeks on average. The rest of the time it sits in my desk drawer. My major complaint is the battery life. It is about 1/4 of that stated in the manual. I basically have to replace the battery every meeting. It has an auto shut-off feature but you can't manually shut it off to keep it from draining the battery.

Pros:
Recording Reception and Quality
Cons:
No belt holder or desk stand holder
I like this recorder, it has great reception under all kinds of conditions. The only thing that is a draw back is there is no holder for it. I can't hang it on my belt, no desk stand. That is my only complaint so far, I can't find anything to hold it. Other than that, the recording quality is better than expected, I'm pleased.
