Perfect for your next family road trip or vacation, the MDR-222KD headphones were created to be easy on young ears, with moderate volume levels and a lightweight and comfortable design. Children eight years old and up will safely enjoy hours of their own personal soundtrack while you relax in silence.
By sizing these headphones correctly your child can use these headphones on long trips very comfortably.
Sized for children over 8 years of age. Most headphones don't fit children comfortably. The MDR-222KD headphones were designed with a child's head in mind. This allows the child to comfortably wear the headphones without strain that full sized headphones might cause as well as fit that eliminates the need to constantly adjust the headphones.
By increasing the impedance on the headphones we have taken into account the sensitive nature of children’s ears to try to eliminate volume issues that full sized earphones might cause.

Pros: Don't have to worry about volume control
Cons: Limited color choices
We surprised our kids with these headphones and our car got quiet fast. No more competing noises from electronic gear. These headphones are fantastic--they work exectly as advertised. I worry about the cords not being strong enough, especially when the kids have their squabbles and pull on them, but no problems so far. We bought them for our 4 young girls. Since we couldn't get 4 different colors we bought 2 of each. 1 was happy with black, but the other 3 fought over the 2 pinks. Should have bought all the same color.
