Great for iPods

Pros: Awesome sound; Light weight; Easy on the ears; Great value

Cons: Not recommended for Walkman style CD players

These headphones offer a similar sound quality of the MDR-G57 and sound awesome with my iPod -- but not so good with my Sony Walkman CD player (???) I think it has something to do with the way bass is delivered on the iPod VS they way it is delivered on the portable CD-type players... Best neckband headphones since the MDR-G64 (my personal favorite).

Not for glasses wearers!

Pros: light

Cons: extremely uncomfortablr

These headphones are so extremely uncomfortable if you wear glasses! The part that hooks behind/over your ear has to share space with your glasses, so they pinch and make your glasses sit cockeyed. That makes me dizzy and uncomfortable. They only way I can wear them is if I wear them backwards and hold them in with hairclips. How is it possible that no one who designed this product wore glasses?

Taking them back

Pros: Design

Cons: Everything Else

I got these becuase I could not find a pair of the MDR-J10. I had previously in years past had a pair of these behind the head style headphones and I was satitisifed with them but these are not the same product. They felt cheap right out of the box. ultra thin cable and cheap headset jack deliver poor sound. The cable is too short and they are uncomfortable to wear for long perriods of time. Go with somthing else.

Only for the budget listeners

Pros: clear highs, snug fit

Cons: polarizing fit, no lows

For those that don't like to read long reviews, now is your time to keep moving. For the rest of us, prop your feet up and get a drink because we are about to get serious. My family recently got two pairs of this headphone and I am currently using them as I write this review. I notice that they are a bit tight on the ears when I'm listening to them. Also wearing glasses, this makes for an awkward situation at times. either relieve the pressure on my earlobes, or take off the glasses? It is something that I have to put up with every half hour or else I will not be able to even get them off without pain.If you don't wear glasses or if you have different ears, you may not have this problem. I've been using these now for about 2 weeks and it still has not let up. As far as the main reason for having headphones, to listen to music, I find them good for a user with a low budget. Coming from my previous pair of headphones (Koss PortaPro) there is no comparison, the PortaPros blow them out of the water, but at close to 3 times the price. For about $12 in some stores, I have these, and for their main mission of audio, they are just ok. I would give them about a 6/10 on sound quality. The high sensitivity lends itself to very crisp and bright highs and mids, but at a price. The lows are washed out, and as the volume rises, the lows come through louder, but only to a point. After that the mids and highs take over again and the headphones become harsh and raspy. When listening to my Sony Walkman WM-FX290W, I MUST use the mega bass function or else it sounds like I'm listening to a radio from an old Mazda pickup that has seen better days. When using my Sony Walkman NWZ-S545, I have found that I need to reduce the mids and highs to VERY low levels or else I get a headache. I have found that Acoustic and Jazz music do not give me the headaches, but still. The harshness is a bit off putting. I do however think that Sony has exaggerated on the frequency range of these. I have had headphones that reached as far down as 14 Hz and these do not sound anywhere near 16Hz as advertized. My guess would be they reach about 22 Hz before rolling off to a whisper at 16 Hz. I've also noticed that at higher listening volumes (about 65% to 80%) the instruments and vocals become ragged in the upper frequency range. Not the best, but for people usually using these for exercise, they might not notice this at all. For people who are on a budget and don't mind, they might not even care. I've had JVC, Koss, Sony, and Philips headphones in the past and these are on the lower end of the list. I used to have a pair of Sony ear buds before they came out with the Mega Bass series and these are better only in the highs. that is all. Would I recommend this product for other consumers? Only if they are not in the business of spending large sums of money on audio equipment. I am a man of spending money for quality though, so I would not recommend these, unless one does not mind the quality.

Good, not as bad as others make it seem

I think that this headset is pretty cool, not like all the others are saying. I was at first afraid to buy this product because of all the negative comments, but I decided to take my chances. After I bought this product, it was working better than I had expected! It's really light and the sound it's not too bad! Although the sound does leak, and the design is a bit unusual, it's fast to get used to. And of course, it would get uncomfortable if it is used for a long period of time. Other than that, I think this is a good product.

Horrible Headphones At Any Price

Pros: None

Cons: Everything

Other than reliability (which I can’t judge after only 5 minutes of listening), these headphones may be the worst headphones I've ever used. Just wanted an inexpensive set to use at work when I'm listening to voice mails and watching the Daily Show during lunch, and they wouldn't even do for that. In particular, the sound is thin and tinny, and just all-around annoying. Also, the headphones don't fit right, as the speaker part sits too forward on your head to direct the sound properly into the ear canal. In addition, the curved part also starts to dig into the part of your ear that's attached to your head when you adjust them as best as possible. I do have a bit of a large head, but I didn't have this problem with my $15-20 RadioShack headphones that have finally crapped out on me after 6+ years. Basically, these headphones are a waste of $15.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Junk

I'm on my 3rd set of these. These things are junk, do not buy. I need something with a longer cord for my desk job and these have the longest. Guess I'll just need to invest in an extension cord. They've shorted out everytime. The ear pads start to come off within a few months

Tony the Tiger thinks they're Grrrrreat!

Pros: Good sound for the price, light weight

Cons: None

I like these phones cuz they're light weight, and don't fatigue my ears. I wear them when i get tired of by buds or my full size studio type phones. I find the sound adequate for casual listening. For the price, you're not going to get deep bass (shallow driver enclosure, non-rare earth type magnets being two reasons ). As for the cord being short, this is marketed as a sport head phone. Do you really want to have to manage a long cord when you're doing your cardio or weights? Get real. Just my 2 cents worth, your mileage my vary.

Very Poor Quality

Pros: Price?

Cons: Everything

Very poor quality headphones. But I guess that's what you get for $15. Bad fit, bad, "tin-ny" quality, cord is too short, no bass at all. Turn the volume ALL THE WAY UP if you're in the gym and wanna hear your music. Don't buy.

Couldn't be happier

Pros: Great sound, very comfortable, look great, very reliable.

Cons: Cannot lie down comfortably while wearing them. I have to flip them around so that the neck band is in front of me.

I have had mine since Christmas (Dec. 25th), and it is now Sept. 6th. They work as well as the day I got them. The ear pads have NOT begun to fall off at all, nothing is broken or damaged at all on the entire product. I have taken good care of these. I use them only for my iPod and the only moving I do while wearing them is shooting hoops or mowing the lawn. Therefore I cannot comment on how long they last for those who plan on running or jogging while wearing them.
