Pros:
lightweight, sturdy, stays in ears, great sound
Cons:
none
I just bought these from this site to accompany my morning jogs, and am so glad that I did. My experience with Sony headphones in general has been pretty average; they are no better or worse than those by other top manufacturers. But these headphones are a truly original design, way better than either earbuds or regular over-the-ear phones. The stability tips gently keep the phones in place over the ear without pressing into the ear canal, as earbuds do. I didn't feel that the stability tips were at all painful as someone said, and I have an enormous head. The headphones are also very light, and have richer sound than earbuds, with a nice "echo" effect. The extension cord is a nice touch, more convenient than the typical wrappable cord. They are the best headphones I've ever used. I hope Sony continues to use this design; it's brilliant.

Pros:
Good sound
Cons:
"Stability tip" is very uncomfortable
I had been always very happy with Sony headphones. All I have ever had offered very good sound quality. These headphones are not different related to the offering sound quality. It is very good.
However I am not able to wear them since there is the "stability tip" which is a piece of plastic pointing inside into my ears. So after a while I was able to tear these "stability tips" off and I can now actually put the headphones on and listen to music.

Pros:
Light weight, good bass response and overall sound qaulity
Cons:
Stability tips very uncomfortable
As I sit here and type on my Sony Laptop and click away with my Sony mouse and check my emails and text message on my Xperia X10, I guess you could say my opinion would be somewhat bias. However, while Sony designs many great products I am not afraid to say that they don't always get it right. The MDRA30GS have a lot going for them, for starters they are light weight and seem generally well constructed. Overall sound quality is rich, with reasonable mid-tones and bass response. Value, I was able to pick these up at half price for just $20, so if you shop around you can pick them up cheaper than the MSRP. Unfortunately where the MDRA30GS falls greatly short is in comfort, almost immediately I notice the stability tips digging into my inner earlobe. This makes for a pretty uncomfortable listening experience for general use and furthers a recommendation that these only be worn for short periods of time. Lastly as some have complained about the cord, quite frankly it’s a good design and the clip included and protective case is a nice compliment to entire package. In conclusion if you’re the need of a set of headphones for a quick 30 min jog on the treadmill or elliptical than I have no objection to recommending them. Their inexpensive, light weight and the durable design will stand up to the most intense workouts while providing a decent listening experience and that’s good enough for me.

Pros:
Lightweight, Value, Durability, Sound
Cons:
Cord
These headphones are some of the best I've ever owned. They have lasted the longest and are the most durable. Perfect for anyone who runs, don't spend the extra money on the other headphones. Only real downfall is the cord length, good for when I am running, but even with the 2ft extension still falls short when I'm just listening to music and want to move around. Also, the sound is great and the little buds on the headphones help them stay on.

Pros:
Lightweight, Durable, Value for the quality
These headphones are great for portable sound. High quality and just feel solid. Many other sets I have tried have felt cheap and made mostly of inexpensive plastic. These feel solid and stay the sound is very nice. For the price, they sound extremely balanced with a wide range.
I do not work out in these, with the cost, I actually bought the h.ear clip on set and those have been fantastic for running. I would say that these would be too heavy for working out in over time. I mostly use for cross country flights, library, book stores, coffee shops or other public places that I need headhphones. A great advantage with these are they block out noise better than most other sports or clip on headphones. Not like noise cancelling but enough to let you enjoy the music or movies without all the extra background noise like clips or other cheaper models.
I highly recommend this set and have used them repeatedly for about 8 months. Traveling as much as I do, they don't even seem to be the least bit damaged, bent, scratched and the cords are still working very well. The flexibility of the 2 foot cord with 2 foot extension is especially nice.
