Great product, but be careful

Pros: Amazing sound quality, Fits nicely

Cons: Prone to breaking, earpieces easy to lose

Like everyone else has said, this had some of the best sond quality I've had (haven't tried the $90 one yet). Highly recommended for its price. I've had a pair of these for a year before they broke. The left earphone suddenly stopped working. I can only speculate as to why, but I believe the wire got disconnected at some point; moral of the story, don't ever stretch or put stress on the wires. Meh. After they broke, I still liked them so much that I went back and bought the exact same pair (yes they are that good).

Really good till the right speaker goes bad.

Pros: They sound really great and the bass is awesome is the only pros.

Cons: Right speaker went out after a few weeks of use, they wouldn't stay in my ears no matter what cushions I used.

Well I bought these at Wal-Mart and was real pleased with them until the right speaker went out a couple weeks after buying them. Also had very severe difficulty getting them to stay in my ears no matter what cushions I used. I had a different pair by Sony the MDRE-X56LP/BLK ones only to have had the right speaker go bad in them as well as these. Sony must have major defects in their earbuds. I will probably never buy Sony again. Did I mention I can't return them cause I've lost the box and receipt stupid on my part I know. These should be worth only $20 with the problems they have. So I'm out $40 or so. I had to throw them away.

Simply Wonderful

Pros: Great Bass, Excellent durability, Good design, fits snugly

Cons: Wriggles when you move, falls out completely if you run

I bought these headphones a year and a half ago, when my old pair of Creative earbuds fizzed out, and amazingly, they've lasted until a couple days ago, when the right earbud just stopped working. They're fantastic headphones, and they're tough too, I loved them so much that I'm going to get another one of these, Great buy, would recommend to anyone willing to listen.

Waste Ear Phones

I have purchased it hardly 6 months back, Now the right ear phone stopped working.Its very disappointing. I purchased it for more than $30 which is of not worth.

Don't ever miss this set of earphones.This is my first review online and SONY has just made me do it.Awesome sound reproduction of very low frequencies and some scintillating bass make for the finest and the richest experience.Go buy this one with no hesitation and live life to the fullest.I have become a die hard SONY fan with this benchmark product.

when you get theese they work great...but a week after i got mine..they just stopped working. i havent been hard on them at all either

Stopped working

Pros: excellent sound quality

Cons: stop working after six months

I barely used them for over six months and today the left one stopped working for no reason. I didn't pull on the cable nor did something that could cause a physical damage. I was working on the computer and listening to my favourite music when suddenly one earbud stopped working. I couldn't believe it! it's SONY afterall and those products are supposed to last longer than six months!!! Waste of money! And I've lost the receipt.

Absolutely sweet as can be. Case and clothing clip included. These put you on stage with your favorite band. Awesome sound. These should be called HIGH DEFINITION IN-EAR MONITORS. End of story.

To be completely honest, I had some older Sonys that i got for $19.99 and they both sound the exact same. For a 9mm driver I expected more. And for people who said they compare to iBeats and Tours, they really don't. They have more punch and smoother high range frequencies then these do. I've heard the Brook Stone ThunderBass ear-buds and they kick Beat's ear-buds through the ceiling for only $29.99. I like the looks of them though, but besides that, it's not worth the money, even on sale. I'm not saying this to diss Sony, but they could have done a better job. Disappointing

Lasted a month

Pros: Sounded amazing while they lasted

I owned this a month and suddenly the left side shot out when I put the iPod in my pocket. I tried playing with the wires for an hour to see where the signal shorted but couldn't figure it out. This was the first and last time I go with Sony for headphones.

I got these headphones free with the order of my tablet that I can't wait for! it was shipped to my house within 2 days!!! fastest shipping ever! The bass is great for small earphones and the sound quality is exceptional, just what you would expect from Sony. The cord looks like its a tangle free cord which is nice no other comment I can really say on them... they were free lol so I cant really put a price on them :) Thanks Sony for making outstanding products like always.

Sound great, can't hear the wife when I have them on. Sound better that my car system, they fit the ears very comfortable, but the right side stop working less than a year.

I bought my pair about a year ago, and so far, i have had no problems with them. they were originally 50 dollars but i got them on sale for 40. if you are looking for a pair of headphones that deliver great sound quality, while punching your ear-holes with massive bass, these are the ones for you! I'm one satisfied customer. *btw, don't bend the cables hard, or wrap the cord around your music player tightly, it will force the wires inside to loose connection*

Like the other reviewers, my headphones quit working after 3 weeks of owning them. Right earbud shorted out. I was listening to Kanye West at the time. Yo Sony, I'm very happy for you and Imma let you finish, but you make some of the worst headphones of all time!

the only headphones i like are always from sony. they are by far the most comfortable and the most affordable for the outstanding quality they deliver. you could pay the same amount for another brand and it will be apples to oranges. I was worried that the bass would be too strong on these but that wasnt the case at all. it was a rich sound with rich bass but not booming in your ear at all. great headphones. buying a second pair because my mom liked mine so much
