Pros:
Compact, Convenient, Holds lots of Audio Content
Cons:
Inconvenient Process to Upload Audio Files to PC
Needed quality inexpensive digital recorder, and this certainly fits the bill, but was also disappointed when the recorder became full and important files needed to be downloaded to my PC. Went to Radio Shack and they said all I needed was a basic audio transfer cable and Windows Media software. I'm not that nerdy and couldn't figure that out so ended up going to Best Buy and bought Roxio easy LP to MP3 cables and software. Got the files transferred, but word to wise: download and save each session as a separate track. You have better luck replaying and transferring to CD this way.

Pros:
very nice price. Bought at the military PX in Virginia
Cons:
Need to be able to download to a PC to make CDs or to store data
When I purchased it, had to go immediately to a huge business conference, so did not read the features. I also own another Sony I purchased in Panama for $95, but could not find it. Expected this one to perform about the same, but cannot download 2 PC. Works great. Good recording pick up. Do not need to be close to the speaker to listen later. HOWEVER, now it is full and cannot move files to PC, or can I?? any help, really would appreciate.. NO USB port on it. HELP!!!

Cons:
INSTRUCTIONS
I don't know if the recorder works well or not because you need an electron microscope to read the one-page instruction sheet. A regular magnifying glass isn't nearly strong enough to read the infinitesimal gray squiggles. I requested another, larger set and was referred to the support website, where I'd already been. I tried every possible combination of (including multiple steps of) copy, save as, PDF, JPG, TIFF, DOC, print, enlarge, scan/enlarge, print/enlarge, etc., etc.! Because of multiple columns and images, all the text-select applications I tried also failed. Miserably. I finally emailed the PDF to a local printing company and asked them to see if the PDF could be enlarged and printed legibly on a two-foot by three-foot, house-plan sheet!

Pros:
Low price, good quality
Cons:
No direct download
Great audio quality, small size, only one complaint; there's no way to directly transfer the recorded audio as a file to a computer. It is possible to get your recordings onto a computer the same way you could with an old cassette player; out the headphone jack of the recorder into the microphone jack on the computer. In fact, there's a cable listed under "Accessories" on this website that would do the job nicely for less than $6 (or you could pick up a similar cable from WalMart or RadioShack). Windows XP has a program that will record audio to a file for you -- go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Sound Recorder (I also had to go into my Sound settings in the Control Panel to select the microphone jack instead of my laptop's built-in microphone, but your experience may vary). Click on File -> Save As, tell it where to save your recording, click the red record button, then start your selected recording playing. (The little green audio line on the computer will let you know that it "hears" something.) The downside to this type of transfer is that the device has to actually play through the entire track so Windows can record it. This recorder is a great value for the money, but be aware of this main drawback before you decide not to spend more on another model.

Pros:
Easy to use, compact, great sound quality
Cons:
Hassle to download audio files, no USB
Upon first impressions, I was very impressed with this little unit but it wasn't until I actually used it at a conference that I totally fell in love with it. The only downfall with this unit is that you have to purchase an adapter cable to be able download your audio files ... grrrrrr!

Pros:
has some of sony quality
Cons:
don't have pc connection
In primitivism a digital record without pc connection surpasses the cassette recorder. with the later there is no limit of possible records.
using the first maybe you need to erase important files to record others, its a inconceivable thing......

Cons:
Can't save recordings
What's the use of having a recorder if you have to delete your recordings after the memory is full? And did you see how expensive this product was? So very much disappointed at Sony this time. I just feel like dumping this recorder in the wastebasked.

Pros:
Good Battery Life, Great Sound, Lots of Space, Really Easy to Use
Cons:
None!
My Boyfriend got me my recorder for Christmas because him and I both love Paranormal stuff, so I used it to catch and EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) and it absolutely worked well! I am so very satisfied with this product and I would definitely suggest this to everyone! :)
