I don't have my tv hooked up to speakers, but I would highly recommend you hook it up. The speakers seem to be located on the bottom of the tv, so they sound does not project out, causing the viewer to turn the volume up really high. My other issue with this tv is the standard issue Sony remote. Who puts a second power button on the bottom of the remote?? Now I know most people use the remote give by their cable provider, and I do too, but I've accidently hit the power button a few times.
On the other hand, I love the HDMI inputs. I've got it hooked to my cable box, blue ray player and Wii and don't have to constantly plug different ones in.
Other than the speakers and remote, this tv is great. As always, Sony presents a great picture in HD and SD. I'm not sure I've noticed the benefits of 120hz over 60hz, so keep that in mind when buying. I checked out some LEDs too, but the coloring all seemed super bright and fake looking. I would highly recommend this tv to anyone, as always, Sony provides a great product at a good price. I will continue to be a Sony buyer.

Well, for one thing, this cost me nothing. Pure HD signals look great, Bluray looks excellent, black levels are great as well. SD isn't as bad as some reviews say, all 1080p LCD's display SD poorly. Speakers sound good, though downfiring, need a little bass in EQ but if you add too much you will hear some frame reverberation at certain frequencies. Plenty of HDMI inputs and a USB input! Looks very elegant with the brushed aluminum piano black frame. The panel finish is slightly glossy for an excellent quality to glare trade off. Cons: Boasts 120hz but it can't do 3D? Why? That's the only thing you need for active shutter systems is 120hz. For the price, online you can find 42-46'' 120hz LCD's including Samsung units for the same price with very similar features. All-in-all it's a great TV. Recent price drops make it a better deal.

Bought this set for our bedroom and it has done nothing but please. Paired with a Sony blue ray player it produces crisp pictures and realistic color. I only wish my bedroom was bigger so I could have gotten a bigger screen.
