Pros:

Cons:
sound
Very easy setup right out of the box. Picture is very good and it adjusts very easy. Make sure you get a wireless attachment costs around $80. It plugs into USB port. This is my 4th Sony and i never needed a sound system but with this one I will get one. The speakers sound better if you watched TV from the back and missed the picture. Also vol tunning is not very good. I still would buy this over any other 60 inch TV.

Just purchased this TV last week. I hooked up my PS3 and HD cable box and it looks GREAT! no adjustments necessary, straight out of the box. I AM LOVING IT! Definitely reasonable price for what this TV has to offer. I never have written reviews before, I just read them. After purchasing this TV, I HAD TO. I definitely recommend it, you cannot be dissatisfied.

Pros:
Design, presence sensor,
Cons:
Picture, on screen manual
Picture out of the box leaves a lot to be desired. Standard picture mode, which Sony recommends for daily use, leaves a lot to be desired. Viewing from the side in standard mode leaves a very washed out picture. Had TV calibrated by a ISF technician. When done picture in standard mode or custom mode was not great. I switched to vivid mode and picture became way better but somewhat bright. If I had to do it all over again would not have bought this model. Would have went with the NX800.

I recently purchased this tv and i can tell you the experience from the beginning was GREAT. I ordered directly through Sony with our employee discount, it was VERY easy and the tv was shipped (free shipping) within three days i was shocked and at a phenominal price......we hooked up the tv and bought a new Sony Blue Ray to replace or regular DVD player and i cannot believe how absolutely beautiful the picture is.....they talk about calibration but i am not sure how much better this TV could look honestly. I don't normally write reviews but i am one of those folks that reads many many reviews before i purchase anything. What i can tell you is so far i absolutely LOVE this TV, i had purchased a 40 inch for our bedroom 4 weeks prior and thoroughly enjoy that as well. I went with Sony as it is a trusted name and user reviews as well as consumer report had high ratings for their Tv's. This tv is 60" and crystal clear....LOVE IT...thanks Sony!!!!!

Pros:
Reasonably priced 60 inch LCD with LED backlight, good picture, astounding array of asjustments and features
Cons:
digital haloing in grainy darker scenes
Have had this set for almost 2 weeks and am quite pleased with its overall performance. Have been working on reducing the digital halo artifacts in scenes having grainy quality. Not XBR quality but very good considering it's pricepoint. Black levels are very good if you slide picture down to 75 and put black enhancer to low. The mode "masks" standard of 90 to 100 on picture overdrives the lightness on the image. Accepting a 75 here with default backlight and power save mode of low gives a stellar image with exception of digital artifacts compensating for some darker grany source material. (happens at any picture level)

Pros:
Every single aspect of this television!
Cons:
After you buy this Model you will feel an urgent need to replace all your older TV's with the same Sony LED Quality.
I recently bought the Sony KDL 60EX700 along with the Sony Blu-Ray Player Model-S570 which has the built in wireless as oppossed to the wireless ready one which will require an adapter. I have Comcast Cable and the HD channel quality is second to none as well as watching a Blu-Ray Dvd or Streaming a Netfix Movie. I chose to buy the Blu-Ray player as oppossed to using the built in wi-fi capabilty of the TV which you would need to buy the adapter for the wireless feature of streaming Netflix. The Blu-Ray player with the capabilty of watching Dvd's made more sense to me. For instant gratification on the remote I would recommend setting the SCENE button to AUTO and secondly choose OPTIONS/PICTURE and change the STANDARD picture to VIVID. Once you have made these changes try tuning into an HD channel and you will see what this baby can do. It is an amazing TV in every aspect including volume/sound etc. The I-manuel on the TV is very user friendly but Sony's free tech support is second to none for both the TV and the Blu-ray player. You won't need a magnifying glass to find the tech support number somewhere in the middle of the book. The tech support number is clearly visable right on the front cover of your manuel and the support people are great. I like this Sony setup so much I duplicated everything in my bedroom with KDL 40EX700. I like to keep things simple so once I know how to use both remote downstairs I don't have to go through another learning curve. You won't be dissapointed buying this EX700 model. On a side note I already owned a Netgear router Model N-300 and worked great for streaming movies downstairs but the signal was too weak for the upstairs bedroom. I was able to purchase the Netgear signal booster/Range Extender Model WN 2000RPT and works good but carefull placement is key. Try to choose a location that has a stright unopstructed path to the Extender about half way between your other TV. If the signal has to go through walls past the extender it will work. Ken in MA

Reviewer number 3 just wanted to be "that guy" lol... There is no "haloing" anywhere, unless you're shining a flashlight at it, oh and not then because auto adjust virtually swallows it. Seems someone just wanted to be "Joe cool I'll look smart if I say something bad too yeah... that guy I am cool" :D No halo folks go buy one^^/

Pros:
Nice Picture
Cons:
weird stuff...
TV looks great but few things i would like to share
1. Remote control started to act funny on the 3rd day. There was a delay in it’s operation. I would click on volume and nothing would happen, and few seconds after the volume would appear way up. Same thing with the channels, I would click to change channels but the channels would not change. Next day all was fine….. still don’t know what happened.
2. Was watching Internet TV and after 1hr or so the TV would shot itself down and restarted…. This was weird.
I am 60% convinced to take this TV back to the store. New TV but weird stuff is happening…. Cannot afford to have this for $2,700
I will try to call SONY to ask about these questions and if they don’t have valid answers I will be at taking this TV back for sure.

Pros:
very vivid, great different settings
Cons:
lack of maual and proper guide
We just got this TV on a great deal at Best Buy for about half of what they are selling it for here. It's a wonderful TV, However it needs calibration settings for sure. We have been toying with the settings and will have to set one group for TV, one for sports specifically, and one for blue ray movies. This is a MUST. The TV also does a lot of neat stuff that we haven't fully figured out yet b/c there is a complete lack of manual. Honestly we got the TV not even knowing everything that it did, (we probably still don't know) b/c there is a lack of material on the item. The TV is great energy wise, a great step up from our old Samsung plasma which broke after 4 years (unacceptable). The TV also has a motion sensor which fades and after time will turn the TV off which is a great feature for cutting down on energy. So far great TV.

Pros:
Great color and images
Cons:
Reflective screen is annoying
TV is great - crisp, clear pictures. We bought this TV a month ago and have had problems with the volume since the 2nd week we had it. When we turn the volume up with the remote, nothing happens and then it goes from 5 to 65 suddenly. Then when we try to turn it down, it takes a while to respond. We tried to use the volume on the TV but this was still happening. We called the tech support and was told to turn it off, unplug the TV and hold down the power button for a minute to expend any stored up electricity in the TV. It didn't work.
It was intermittent in the beginning but is becoming more prevalent lately so we are taking it back to the store to exchange for another one. Hope the problem goes away because we really love this TV.

As a DISH employee I just purchased a Bravia for my HD receiver! I just became a DISH employee and they are hosting HD free for Life, so I had to take advantage of the promotion. It is for all customers, new and existing and it’s great with a HDTV! It's a must have! The T.V works amazing with the HD programming.

Cons:
sound sucks PERIOD
My dlp blew this tv away on sound quality although i love its slim design. Picture is ok but swear my dlp was much more crisp. I shall try a new hdmi cable and hope it gets better.I think with a home theater system it will be ok. I would rate it as a 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. Dont get me wrong as it is very nice and i would recommend it to a friend along with makeing sure you buy a home theater system also. After all NASCAR has to be loud!!!!!!!!!

Pros:

Cons:
none so far
Bought this TV in 3rd week in December 2010. Needed to have it connected for some time to determine how it is working.
The picture quality is excellent, Connecting my bluray player and hd camcorder was easy, connecting the home theater Bose equipment was a little challenging, but overall, I would not change this TV with any other. Good Job SONY.

Screen very bright, nice sharp picture, has all the bells and whistles that you'd expect.
Cons:
Have a long home theater room and really need just that additional 5 inches on the screen.
REALLY like this set. Has the internet connection via the ethernet cable. Has all the bells and whistles that you'd expect from Sony. And the Bravia name brings a lot of weight with it. And finally, the set is 120 Hz, but with is TV, it simulates a 240 Hz screen. THAT is cool! And the phone in price is absolutely amazing.

Very good choice of tv if your planning to get it. we have a samsung LED and just got this one. we compared them both and it seem sony has alot to offer! the 120 hz seem to be refined with no "ghosting" unlike the samsung and colors come out more vibrant. Actually the settings right out the box for this tv make it look perfect. at least to me. you wont be dissapointed and the silver part of the tv is not ugly actually, it gives it a nice blend in with the rest of the black edges.

I bought the the EX700 at Dallas Sony Style store. The staff was very good. Transaction was soooth. The Price was better at the Store than On-line even with the EPP discount. I was told they were running a special that week so i coud not resist the price. The TV itself is amazing. I have all Sony products with the exception of a Samsung TV and the Sony is head and shoulders above the Samsung.Sony has more features and and a better picture even with it being a better screen. One of the reasons I buy Sony products is because of there relaibility. I sound like a Sony PR ad. If you are thinking about getting one DO IT.

Hey chevyfan, thanks for posting. I think you're referring to the widgets found on Bravia Internet Video? The EX700 does have Bravia Internet Video (Stream movies, videos, music and more with BRAVIA Internet Video, while BRAVIA Internet Widgets allow you to easily access local news, sports headlines, Facebook® and Twitter™) - I listed a page on this below for ya. Hope this is helpfu & thanks again for posting!

I love this TV, it has great colors, deep blacks, and a great 120 Hz motion flow. Internet Ready is a plus. Only con really for me was that it doesn't come with a swivel base which in my opinion is a must. Get it on a sale and it's a steal.
