Used the glasses a few times

Pros: Work as designed. Good performance

Cons: Too Heavy

They do everything they say they do. Helps to enjoy the movie. But after the first hour of a movie, you realize they hurt a bit. 77g of weight is alot. You have to move them every few minutes to take the pressure off the nosepads. Female family members (adults) won't use them because of the weight.

Major Design Flaw

Pros: They work for some

Cons: They don't work for people with glasses!

It is amazing that a company like Sony releases an entire new product line, and forgets that a large amount of people out there are wearing glasses. While anyone with glasses can walk into a movie theater, and watch a RealD 3d movie with polarized glasses that are designed to fit over optical glasses, Sony's design group has managed to not think this far ahead. No way that I'd drop this kind of money onto a new TV, and then I can't even put the glasses over the ones I'm wearing. Let's hope the other companies are a bit smarter when releasing their glasses.

Works as its suppose to be

Pros: Easy to change battery

Cons: Rechargeable battery may die

Well, when we ordered the 3D glasses, we expected to receive the new rechargeable 3D glasses as it was indicated on our order, instead we received the old model, ie battery replaceable. Even though the recharge one as Sony said to be Li rechargeable battery. It will die eventually, and we think it could be more expensive to buy a new rechargeable 3D glasses then replacing the battery. As a result, we kept what we received. Besides this, i have no idea how long it will take to recharge it. Whereas the old battery type, i can simply replace the battery without any waiting, and battery is cheaper to replace than a 3D glasses. If you travel oversea, you can simply bring some batteries back, as they could cost as low as CDN1.25 per unit. I tried on a blue ray 3D documentary disk. The image was very good.

Sony Has Done it Again

Pros: Great Product

We upgraded to Sony HX8003D from Sony LCD 52", it was well worth the money. the glasses are fine. we have had no problems with them. I think that they are comfortable and so does my wife. I wear glasses and so does my wife and we have no problem. It is just like being in I Max. Great Job Sony. Everyone should own one.

Tight Fit

Pros: Work great and batteries last a long time.

Cons: Non-rechargable batteries and can be a tight fit.

We just got a KDL-55HX800 Bravia 3DTV and it is AWESOME!! Watching a 3D movie on Blu-Ray looks great too although, on the movies I've watched so far, the picture go back into the TV and doesn't come out at you. But I digress. These glasses do the job and do it well. If you tilt you're head a bit you will notice the glasses darken/lose sync. The one major flaw for me, however, is that the glasses have a tight fit on my head. I do wear glasses to begin with and these fit over them fairly nicely, but wearing them for the duration of a movie might give you a slight headache. There is a "switch" to adjust the glasses to a smaller head, but not to make them "looser" for larger heads. I am considering the purchase of a set of universal glasses as the reviews for those seem to indicate a more comfortable fit. Plus they'll work on any active shutter 3DTV (BONUS!).
