Pros:
Great sounds
Cons:
Unable to make it work with current receiver
You are limited only to use their speaker wire cause of the connectors they provide. I tried to some how make it work with my Onkyo receiver to no avail. Now I have a pretty expensive receiver that is not usable. I should have done more research, but I could not resist the price of this product, I was in the market for just speakers and a subwoofer, without paying top dollar for them. I love the sounds that this system provides after some difficulty setting it up. I have yet to play a blu-ray movie yet but I am looking forward to it on my new 40" LCD.

Pros:
Out of the box ease of use
Cons:
I tried my best to find the right one
Personally, i couldnt go wrong, i wanted something that sounded great and that was not just "loud with a lot bass." Installation and setup (i had to go in and play with every setting to my liking) was not bad. There are still plenty of advance options that i have not played around with yet but intend to over time. Out of the box it sounds awesome, it will not disappoint for its price. Cant wait for football season to get here to really get the most out of it..
Took about 10 minutes to setup all the speakers and sub, and quickly put an HDMI to use with my PS3

Pros:
Quick to unpack and plenty of system options to configure. Sounds AMAZING.
Cons:
Using the remote is clunky when accessing online media (word search)
The setup was quite easy. Amazing sound coming from such small speakers.
If you plan to use HDMI, note that *SOME* LCD TVs will also require the Digital Optical Audio cable (As did mine which isn't a Sony Brand)...if not, you don't get surround sound.
The streaming media is impressive. Using the remote to do keyword searches (ex. on YouTube) is a bit combersome.
The "Easy Setup Disc" that comes with the unit is kinda pointless as it helps you setup your unit with a TV which needs to be setup in the first place.

Pros:
Easy Setup, Great Value, Upgradable
Cons:
None
This setup is pretty nice. I was a little hesitant buying an all in one type of system but I am 100% pleased with the money I spent. The UI is clean and just like my PS3. I have a Roku in the bedroom and this setup in the living room and I love the Sony UI and streaming much better. I purchased this instead of the Google TV stand alone and am very satisfied.
The guys complaining about USB don't really know much about computers. NTFS drives are not supported on many devices. Get over it. They are just sad they can't play their pirated movies. Learn to re-encode.
I really hope to see updates in the future and an expanded library but right out of the box. 100% satisfied with the money I spent.

Pros:
nice design, sound
Cons:
not compatible with many formats
i bought this player recently, everthing working good, but unexpectedly this player dosent play any divx, .avi file formats and also cant connect a usb drive with NTFS file system, so if you are buying, i will suggest better buy a samsung...which is more compatible and worth spending it...

Wow! I have been useing an old inexpensive home theater for several years, but when I bought my new LCD TV I wanted a more updated model with lots of bells and whistles. This Sony model is it. The price was right and features are fantastic.
I am not the most technilogical person and the ease of setting the sytem up was wonderful. I had everything working and had the system married to my TV in a short period of time. The only problem I had with set-up was recognizing my Wi-Fi system, and it turned out to be my fault. After a quick call to my ISP the problem was corrected in a matter of minutes.
This unit has very good sound quality even at low volume. I was not familiar with the Mic calebration for the speakers, but after following the instructions I was able to automatically callebrate the speakers with no trouble.
System has more features than I will ever use, and it is an excellent value for the money.

Pros:
Great picture and sound
Cons:
Netflix and Hulu apps
I have a Playstation 3 and this home theater system. Although the picture and sound is great watching blu-ray discs, the internet connection on this is much slower that the Playstation. Once you add items to your queue in the Netflix app you can never go back to browsing for movies. It will open only to your queue. As for Hulu, it pauses to load when switching from a commercial to the program. My Playstation plays continuously thru out the program, plus the Netflix app can still browse for movies and shows even though I have items in my queue. If you plan on using this system for the blu-ray discs and surround sound, then this is great for that. But if your looking to use this mostly for the tv and movie apps your better off spending the money for the Playstation 3 or finding a better surround sound system.

Pros:
Easy setup, Quality Blu-Ray and Streaming Internet Audio/Video
Cons:
No S-Air package included.
I received this for a gift, so I cannot be too picky! I have been impressed with the video and audio quality. The installation and setup instructions were straight forward and I had the entire system set up and the auto configuration process with the included microphone completed in less than 20 minutes!

Pros:
Internet ready, Blu-ray 3D, Great Sound
Cons:
Sony proprietary USB Internet adapter
I already have a Sony Bravia HD TV, so thought this might be easier to hook up and I wouldn't have as many compatibility issues to fight through. In just a couple of hours, I had everything connected and running. The sound is amazing. I purchased a HDMI cable and the image is brilliant.
I was told that to connect it to my home's wifi, I had to buy a $70 USB adapter...not something I had planned on and not necessarily cheap. I didn't like that. I found an HDMI cable for around $20, which is pretty inexpensive as far as those go too, so an unexpected 90-extra-dollars took a bit of the shine off of the good deal I thought I was getting.
All in all, for a grand total of around $300, I'm extremely satisfied with the sound and picture quality.

Pros:
Fast, Nice Design, GREAT Sound. Can't go wrong buying this system.
Cons:
Won't read some blu-ray movies. Updated to the latest firmware and i get a navy green screen. Nothing happens.
Although the blu-ray player doesn't read all of my discs it is still nice. I have to resort to playing those select bly-rays on my PC. This system has a nice design and GREAT sound. Sometimes it actually feels like i am in the movie.
Have not tried 3D content yet.

Pros:

Cons:
DOES NOT SUPPORT MANY FORMATS
Sony's USB interface requires a hard drive be formated with FAT or FAT32 ... Hello, NTFS has been around for many years. The cheap netgear player I bought for under $100 plays audio/video from USB hard drives formatted with NTFS and it's several years old. SONY REALLY MISSED THE MARK ON THIS ONE!!!!
I've had this "thing" installed for less than a DAY and I am already looking to return it, and replace it with something from Samsung!!!

Pros:
sound quality / ease of set up
Cons:
You have to buy a seperate $80 wireless adapter
I received my home theater as a gift from my wife. I was very excited when I opened it up however after getting it all set up my excitement turned to disappointment when I realized I have to buy a Sony wirless adapter to access all of the cool features advertised on the box... I feel betrayed, violated, ripped off, etc . . .
I am contimplating returning the system just on principal id rather give my money to someone more upfront and honest.
