Pros:
Seamless integration of all components, very easy to use
Cons:
Lack of front-mounted USB or AUX jack
This is one amazing stereo. For starters, the audio quality of the unit is great. It has a very nice "listening position" feature that allows you to select where you sit in the vehicle for optimum sound, and I found it to be quite effective.
The Tom Tom GPS works perfectly! It syncs up with the satellites and starts receiving a signal almost instantly. The user interface is very easy to figure out, even w/o reading the instruction manual and there are even tutorials that run through some of the more common commands the first time you power the GPS up. The navigation commands are pleasant and the volume of your audio source (CD, XM radio, etc) turns down automatically while you're being given voice commands.
The quality of the screen is very good - looks GREAT on a DVD! The Bluetooth integration is perfect also... works great with my Motorola Droid 2 phone and can even access the phone book. Plus the A2DP stereo bluetooth means I can listen to Pandora or MP3s off of my phone w/o connecting any wires. Additionally, the external microphone for calls via bluetooth works very well - people can't even tell I'm not holding the phone up to my head even when I speak at a normal volume - road noise is not an issue.
The integration of the 3 functions (radio, GPS and phone) is absolutely perfect. It's like it knows exactly what information I should be processing at what time. For example, it will mute the radio when a call comes in and display the call info on the screen, only to pick back up again where it left off when the call is over.
The only real issue I have with the unit is the lack of front-mounted connections. There is no front input for USB or AUX. All of the AUX jacks are on the back of the unit (with no external connection box, which has it's pros and cons...) and the USB input is a cord about 6 feet long that comes off of the back of the unit that can be run to a remote location (I ran mine down to the center console). The advantage, however, of this kind of setup is that it provides a very clean, factory look.
Overall, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a good looking, easy to use stereo that works seamless with thier phone and integrates GPS perfectly with your audio functions.

Pros:
Nice Screen super clear, being able to adjust volume of each speaker, bluetooth audio
Cons:
audio stops when incoming call
This unit is great but i wish it had some extra features for the price, user background or at least more screen options than just 2, Sony should release firmware update via USB that allows these updated features, also the caller id only shows up on my phone and then on screen after i answer which totally defeats the purpose of caller id maybe its my iphone 4 but says it should work. Also when the ipod or phone is plugged in usb the sound options are way better than if u use bluetooth audio dont get me wrong bluetooth sounds awesome but when plugged in you get true virtual 5.1 which cso center channel which is sick ! I wish the remote was lite, but no biggie. The screen is super clear and has bunch of dolby settings ! Automatically connects to bluetooth when get in car ! Great speaker and sub adjustment with EQs and listening postion settings !!! Overall Awesome Unit just wish had few left out features i mentioned

Pros:

Cons:
gps is horrible and no help from sony
if this was only a multimedia unit it would be great..But its supposed to have gps, except the unit just searches all day long for gps, sony keeps putting updates out for this,so i download them thinking great this isnt going to be a 900.00 dollar paper weight anymore..then searching for gps still.also if you search the internet tons of people have the same problem with unit..shame on sony for not recalling unit...finally I DECIDE TO CONTACT SONY ABOUT MAYBE GETTING IT FIXED ..BUT THEY WANT ME TO SEND IT TO THEM AND WAIT 4 TO 8 WEEKS TO GET IT BACK..i dont think thats reasonable sony...EVERYTHING ELECTRONIC THAT i own is sony but after this horrible experience I'll be rethinking my next purchase...so if you want gps...DONT BUY!!!!!!!!

Cons:
face isn't double din sized
i made the mistake of buying this monstrosity without looking at it in-store, and for that i'm an idiot. you'd think double din means double din, but to sony that means a two-tiered face that wouldn't measure 4"x7" by any standard. so, if any one doesn't mind having a stereo with 1/8th" gaps all around and protrudes from 1/4" outwards from the center dash, the xnv-660bt is the best route.

Pros:
Tom Tom, Great Resolution, Bluetooth Audio Streaming, Price
Cons:
iPod interface, Bluetooth Phone Screen
I have been looking for a double-din receiver for my 2002 Ford Explorer for a while. I had a specific list of features I wanted, and so far none of the others I looked at really met them all, at least not for the price point of the XNV-660BT.
I've had the unit installed for a week now. I completed the install myself, it is a pretty straightforward setup. The external GPS unit is a little odd, but I liked that I could simply bring it up to the office and update it. It was simple enough to hide away in the glove box. I also installed a PAC adapter for my steering wheel controls, which works perfectly, as well as a rear-view camera.
We'll start with the bad. The iPod interface, though robust, is missing some simple features that make it a bear to work with. Most notably is the fact that when you want to switch to a different album, or artist, you have to start from scratch in the menu, first choosing Music, then Artist, etc. I'm not sure why they couldn't have included a simple back button, to take you to the last menu part you were navigating. The other issue with the iPod interface is the lack of controls on the Navi screen. You can see the song and album cover, but no Play/Pause or FF option.
The only other con I've found is that, when you go into the BT Phone option from the Top screen, it stops your audio source. In my opinion, it should keep playing music until I actually place a call or initiate a voice command.
Everything else about this unit I love. From boot-up, the screen in gorgeous. Day or night it is clear and crisp. The auto-dimming feature is nice as well. DVD's look great, as does video from the iPod.
The Tom Tom is integrated well, and is a very complete GPS. That was one of my main selling points, as I'm not a fan of many other's proprietary GPS systems. There are more than enough POI's in the system for anyone's needs.
Streaming Pandora over Bluetooth Audio from my Droid works very well, and sounds great. I was quite surprised with the quality. Though not something I plan to use every day, it's a nice option to have. Typically I listen to my iPod, and it works great for that, minus the deficiencies noted above.
All-in-all this is a good unit, and if Sony can do a firmware update to address the iPod issues, it would be even better!!

Pros:
USB that connects to IPhone ,flash drive or harddrive
Cons:
Not enough file formats for videos via USB need more codec's and hub connectable.
OK I purchased this unit in the beginning of 2011 and never had any problems so far.I brought it for my 2002 Nissan Maxima. Everything works perfect!!! DVD,NAV,BT,USB.But what really got me was the Sensme function via USB. This program works from your music's mood, speed, and tone.I'm also taking advantage of the USB video player for mp4 files. I had to use Converterlite program to convert the files to work properly if not the unit freeze then you have to reset it. Protection, Protection,Protection!!! Moving on the DVD setup is easy to use by using simple hand swipes gives it that IPhone fill. Screen is bright and clear which is a big plus! Bluetooth and NAV function works wonders for this daily driver.Last but not least Sound. The only thing I have to say about it is that it makes my neighbors jealous how my car sounds clearer than the theater when I drive by :) Looking forward to what else Sony rolls out with next!

Pros:
Nothing
Cons:
Everything
I am extremely sorry to have purchased this product. The GPS is awful - only working about 2 out of every 10 times. It sometimes changes functions for no reason (tuner to CD, iPod, etc.), you can not shuffle randomly with the iPod feature (it starts from the beginning of the playlist every time), it often freezes, it takes a really long time to load a disk, and now, this weekend it has started shutting itself off every five minutes. I find that I have to either play with it while I'm driving, which is dangerous, or turn it off so it doesn't distract and annoy me. I am worried now just how much it is going to cost me in order to either have it fixed or removed and replaced. This makes me pretty angry since I spent quite a bit of money between the unit, all of the installation pieces, the installation labor and the back-up camera that I added on (the back-up camera, however is really nice - but added a couple hundred once installation was added in).
