shorten of battery life
I bought this battery and what I can say is this battery does not extend life any longer then the original battery. Under normal use, this battery lasted me exactly 1 year and a day from the date of purchase. Which it wasn't cover through warranty. Save your money on this battery.

a little bulky
I hate carrying around a laptop charger chord, so the extra battery life is great. As a college student, this battery has helped me out so much. I admit the battery is bulky but I actually don't mind. The pros outweigh the cons, and my E series laptop still fits nicely in my Targus laptop sleeve. I think the longest my computer life has lasted on power saver mode with the lowest brightness is around 10 to 11 hours, and on full brightness around 6 to 7 hours, which is so much more than a standard battery.

Unreliable
I puchased this battery with my new computer in May 2012. It is very bulky and does not fit securily on my Series E. It has been five months since I purchased this and I now have a completely dead battery. The battery was working fine one night and the next morning was completely dead. Don't pay the extra money, stay with the standard battery.

Bulky, nominal additional life
Added this battery, assuming it would give extra life while traveling. My niece has the exact same computer and I get 30 minutes additional run time tops. However, main issue is battery is bulky and adds substantial thikness to laptop making impractical for travel and uncomfortable for true "lap" use. Wish I had just gotten the standard battery with purchase. Not worth the extra money.

I got annoyed having to charge my battery during classes, so i got this one. Yes it is annoying transporting it with the protruding battery, but when using its actually a nice little stand too/helps cool the computer. But to the actual battery performance, I do notice a substantially longer use time, on average i can use this for up to 5-7 hours unplugged of actual use(watching movies or games). If you're smart about what your using, you can get a lot out of it(i took an 11 hour train ride with the internet off, and I got almost 8 hours of movies out of it). Realistically, that's a lot more then I ever got out of the stock battery(3 hours usually).
