The 3.0” touch-screen Clear Photo LCD Plus™ display provides exceptional viewing clarity with 230K pixels resolution. The display rotates up to 270 degrees for multiple viewing angles, as well as provides sharp, detailed images for monitoring or playback. The convenient touch panel allows easy access to menus and additional functionality such as spot focus and spot metering.

Store your memories in a whole new way with the ability to copy videos from your camcorder directly to an external hard disk drive10 (sold separately), all without a computer. Your camcorder can also access videos stored on the external hard drive for playback on your TV, allowing you to utilize the camcorder’s handy playback features.

Film Roll / Face Index

With Film Roll Index, the camcorder previews the beginning of scenes and creates scene indexes set at specified display intervals (3, 6, or 12 seconds and 1 or 5 minutes). Face Index indexes your video footage according to the faces detected in each scene. When it’s time to play back video, simply search for what you want by selecting from among the detected faces displayed in the index.

Good Camera

Pros: Small size, easy to use

I bought this camera to use for everyday video like school plays and sporting events for my kids. I find it is very easy to use. The video quality is fine. The sound is much improved over my old tape camcorder. The memory stick comes out easily and loads directly onto my Sony laptop and desktop. (It seems like the camera can plug right into the computer to download but I haven't figured that out yet.) It is really small and easily fits in my purse. You have to purchase a memory stick but the generic cards work well and are much cheaper. All in all, I feel like I got exactly what I wanted for a fair price.

I love this camcorder

Pros: Plenty of features

Cons: No remote control

For the price of this camcorder it is an excellent value! This camcorder is very easy to use. It also takes excellent quality pictures as well as videos.
