Pros:
Idea and design
The first time I saw SONY VAIO Duo, I fell love with it.
I can see the engineer team made a lot of effort to design such a small package with a lot of functions (with limited cost), it brings back similar feeling from my childhood watching TV program with convertible robot, excited and facinated about Science Fiction. I can even feel the workmanship by proud professional at the manufacturer site. (Even the slider mechanism is solid, unfortunately I saw a lot of broken machine at Future Shop and Bestbuy abused by so many customers who doesn't know how to open the screen.)
Screen is beautiful, nothing like this.
Keyboard is usable/typable with almost same feeling as full size keyboard (I tend to make some mistake on Left shift key, but I get used to it now) Backlight is nice to have on a long flight.
Optical stick is OK, good for fine adjustment. (I use touch screen for most of time)
Speed is amazing, especially boot time, I even don't know the difference between cold boot and wake-up from sleep, yes it is that fast.
The pen is nice too. I am not artist so I don't draw, but with Windows 8's handwriting recognition, even those doctor's lousy handwriting on prescription, windows recognize it perfectly.
Someone said it is too heavy, or too big, but considdering that what it can do, it is fairly light and compact. with both VGA and full size HDMI connector, I can bring this machine for business trip to do some presentation. (and I can modify the contents on last minutes) RJ45 (Ethernet ) connector is nice too, believe it or not, most of hotels in Tokyo doesn't have wireless, but they provide network cable.
Only thing i feel so regret is, this bi-lingual keyboard, I wish SONY Canada sells with US keyboard at SONY store, not as option on custom model. (I keep hitting back slash key, instead of Shift key)

Pros:
lightweight, super responsive screen, great stylus
Cons:
can't change the screen angle if working with a keyboard (however the viewing angle is impressive)
great laptop tablet hybrid boots up in seconds and doesn't lag. keyboard was a little weird at the beginning but after getting used to it t's perfect now. completely removes the need to have 2 devices as it functions as a tablet and laptop without compromise in either.
