Purchased this phone with the 4 year warranty during the recent sale. Firstly, worst battery ever. Seriously I wake up in the morning and unplug the phone and brush my teeth and its down to 97 percent. Then I eat breakfast and its down to 90 percent. The only solution sony had was for me to send the brand new phone back to be opened up and fiddled with because sony Canada DOES NOT TAKE RETURNS! even one day after I bought the phone. Secondly, in case you didn't realize there is no flash! Yes a phone as big as my shoe and no flash. So I thought I would buy the 500 dollar attachment camera the qx100 - and there is no flash on that either? Seriously sony? I know you guys are from the land of the rising sun, but some of us need a flash?

My first impression at the store is, this is huge!, but I'd been wanting to have one. In fact, once I got it in my hand, I can tell this is well designed by good engineer, on size, easy to hold, easy to type, easy to talk etc...
I will bring this phone to vacation abroad, phone and tablet in one product.
Oh by the way, although SONY doesn't sell for its own product, a lot of accessaries are available on the market. I bought SBH52 on ebay as companion for this phone. (works really good)

Bought this as alternative to a tablet as the big screen got my attention unfortunately I should have bought a Nexus 7 and spared myself the torture of seeing Sony haphazardly tweak (read screwup) the Android operating system and clog it with pay services. Screw ups? What screw ups? Well these range from non functioning Miracast to a post update (3 hours to carry out) miracast with the volume locked on maximum but no sound to non-functioning equalizers, either the built in sony app or any playstore app. Then there is the swipe typing which comes and goes depending on the app. Then there are the two browsers, Google and Sony appear to not be aware of the prevalence of flash enabled websites and seem to be expecting html5 to rule the world overnight. I could go on but surprisingly I haven't had the opportunity to find more of the glitches just yet but I am sure the irritation hads just been. I Almost forgot... The tech support... I haven't quite figured if the online chat (which is typing... Funny how the meaning of words seems meaningless) is a bot or answers selected from a drop down menu by the tech if one exists.
