Shipping Times, Rates, Methods & Policies
*Free Shipping: Free Shipping is available to you when you purchase from Sony today. Excluding select items where special Home Delivery may be required, receive free shipping on your order right to your door-step. Free Shipping is not available on any orders of Televisions 50" in size or greater.
For Free Shipping orders that contain televisions, some remote areas may be required to pay a shipping fee once the delivery area has been assessed. At this time, this can only be assessed after order submission however we will notify you as soon as possible to work through the details with you.
Express Shipping: If speed is your top priority, you can select our Express Shipping Service. Some items such as specialty parts or engraved products may not be eligible for express shipping. Please note that express shipping times are based on orders that have successfully been processed. Processing times may vary but generally take 1 business day. Express shipping times do not apply to weekends, only regular business days.
Door-to-Door Service: If your shipping area is eligible, you may select Door-to-Door ($50) service. Within 5 business days of receiving your order, our delivery agent will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time, from Mon - Fri, 8 - 5. When the Door-to-Door Delivery agent arrives, they will have you sign for your order at your front door.
Green Glove Service: If your shipping area is eligible, you may select Green Glove ($150) service. Within 5 business days of receiving your order, our delivery agent will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time, from Mon - Fri, 8 - 5. When the Green Glove Delivery agent arrives they will carry your TV into your home, place it in any room, unpack it, and remove the packaging. We'll take your old TV for responsible recycling.
Signature is Required: Most of our shipments contain valuable equipment. If you will not be at the shipping address to accept delivery of your product, consider shipping the item to an address where you or someone you trust will be available to sign for your package. Our carriers deliver any time between 8am and 5pm. Once your order is being prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to edit the shipping address and we will not be able to request that a shipment be redirected to an alternate location. Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you upon delivery.
Undeliverable Packages: Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. This could be due to missing address information such as unit number, company name, buzzer code or various other reasons. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us we will refund your account(s) accordingly. Please contact us to make arrangements to replace your order. In the event that we were unable to deliver a Final Sale item, you will be contacted by phone and or email to arrange a new shipment and no refund will be issued.
Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make two attempts to deliver a package. After two delivery attempts, the package will be held at a local depot for up to 5 business days. If you do not pick up your order from the depot, it will be returned to us and we will refund your account(s) accordingly. In the event that we were unable to deliver a Final Sale item, you will be contacted by phone and or email to arrange a new shipment and no refund will be issued.
- The preceding guideline does not include order processing time. All orders are subject to a verification process before shipping. Processing time may vary.
- The information above is based on average delivery times to major city centres and does not represent a guarantee of service. Unless otherwise specified, Sony will ship orders by courier. In the event that there is no one available to sign for the order, pick-up at a local depot may be required. In order to pick up from the local depot, you must show Photo-ID and proof of address.
- Carriers cannot deliver orders to buildings where buzzer / entry codes are omitted from the address details. Please ensure that this information is present for a speedy delivery. Door-knockers are not permitted to be distributed in buildings.
- Delivery times may be longer in rural areas and in some areas pick-up at a local depot may be required. Rural areas include regions with postal codes containing the number Zero (0) and/or the letter 0. For more information about delivery coverage please visit [www.purolator.ca].
- The customer, or a person at the customer's delivery address, may have an agreement with a courier company (such as FedEx) whereby no recipient signature is required at the time goods are delivered by the courier. In such a case, Sony is not responsible or liable in any way for any orders which have been recorded by the courier as having been delivered, but that have nevertheless been lost, stolen, or damaged. The customer waives any such loss or damage claims against Sony, notwithstanding the failure of Sony or the applicable courier to produce a proof of delivery signed by an individual at the customer's delivery address.
